ABC Pride introduces our youngest readers to the alphabet by using the colourful and celebratory world of Pride. Little readers can discover letters and words whilst learning more about the LGBTQIA+ community and inclusivity.

Every letter of the alphabet is paired with bright, bold illustrations which support the language used in the pages of the book e.g. ‘A is for acceptance, B is for Belonging, C is for Celebrate’. The explanations for these words are included and are clear and relatable. A useful list of discussion points at the end of the book provides adults the tools to spark further conversations and discussion.

The illustrations within the book are representative of people from all walks of life and represent our diverse world. ABC Pride offers a simple, accessible way to explain gender, identity and ability to children aged 3+, with multiple illustrations supporting diverse family units. It’s an ideal book for children to explore together with a caregiver, or in the classroom. This book is most suited to EYFS classrooms or for caregivers to share with young children.
